FOGO — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
MG Games ("we", "our", "us") operates the FOGO game, available on the web at
astropork.com/fogo and as a mobile app (the "Game").
This policy explains exactly what we store, why, and how to get rid of it.
1. What We Store
- The name you choose. You pick it yourself. Choose a nickname, not your real name — it is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
- Your scores. Your best score, and a record of each finished run (score, mode, time) used for the leaderboard and for balancing the game.
- A device key. A random identifier generated on your device, which is what proves a name belongs to you. We only ever store its SHA-256 hash, never the key itself.
- Game Center (iOS only, optional). If you are signed in to Game Center, we store the SHA-256 hash of your Game Center player id so your name and record follow you to your other Apple devices. We do not store your Game Center display name or any other Apple account detail.
- IP address. Recorded in server logs alongside requests. We use it to stop cheating and abuse — rate limiting, and investigating impossible scores.
2. What We Do NOT Store
- No real name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, or anything from other apps.
- No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no trackers, and we never sell data.
- No analytics SDKs — no Firebase, no Amplitude, no Mixpanel, nothing of the sort.
- No payment details: the Game is free and has no in-app purchases.
3. Why We Store It
- To show the leaderboard and keep your place on it.
- To prove a name is yours, so nobody else can score under it.
- To carry your name and record to another device, either through a transfer code you request yourself or through Game Center.
- To detect cheating and keep the leaderboard honest.
4. Transfer Codes
The Game can issue a short code that moves your identity to another device. A code lasts 15 minutes,
works once, and is shown only to you. Treat it like a password: anyone who reads it can load your game.
That is why the Game hides it behind a tap until you choose to reveal it.
5. Storage and Security
Data is stored on our own server in the European Union. All traffic uses HTTPS. Device keys and
Game Center ids are stored only as SHA-256 hashes, so the stored values cannot be turned back into the
originals. Our server sits behind Cloudflare, which may process your IP address for security purposes —
see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
FOGO is suitable for all ages and needs no personal information to play — only a nickname you invent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Retention and Deletion
We keep your name, score and hashed credentials for as long as you keep playing. Server request logs,
which include IP addresses, are kept for a limited period for anti-cheat purposes and then discarded.
To delete your data, email [email protected]
with the name you play under. We will remove your leaderboard entry, your play history and your stored
credentials, and confirm once it is done.
8. Your Rights
- See your data: your name and best score are visible in the Game and on the leaderboard.
- Correct it: change your name at any time in Settings; your record moves with you.
- Delete it: by email, as described above.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Any change is posted on this page with a new date above.
